    We sadly had to sell a dog who nailed everything he ran at (almost every time),because we were moving house and couldn't take him with us.Luckily he was sold to a friend who had been out with him and had seen him in action.The said friend said if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes he wouldn't have belived it,the dog just didn't take to him and always put in a mediocre performance for him to say the least.Eventually the dog came back to us and almost immediatly reverted to his former prowess!!! so I'm with Socks on this one!!!!

    I agree with this, especially with regards to stressing it more. It just makes the dog scared of taking a crap and scared of you, Not the way to build a good bond with your dog. I hope you manage to agree, its not easy when you have conflicting views. thanks all for your comments and advice,shes pretty good in the 'poo' department and almost always goes outside.Unfortunatly she hardly ever pees out there unless she already outside.I'm just going to keep at it with her and I'll continue to leave the door open (for as long as I can stand the cold!!)as I'm sure it's because she's just

    I have been told that it is legal to diagnose/treat/vaccinate your own dog, but illegal to do anyone elses does anyone know if this is true?

    I'm just worried that she'll think it's her doing it in front of me thats upset me and then she'll just start doing it out of sight?because if she does it might be hours before I find the 'accident' and I'll have no chance at that point of getting her to admit ownership!!!!

    could someone please sort out an argument between my husband and I (no letter bomb will be sent I promise!!!!!) we are trying to house train our pup she does 'go' when I put her outside,when she wakes up, after eating,after playing...etc but she also goes inside at other times too.I just remover her quietly put her outside and clean up the puddle.My thinking is that sooner or later she'll get it and as she gets more control over her bladder she'll be ok.     Hi I'm new am female from the Isle of Wight,I have an adult springer who starts training this week (he's already working but have decided to join a gfundog club so he can do trials) and have just bought a pup who is 9 weeks who will also start training asap.OH has a lurcher,ferrets and shot guns but my passion is drag hunting (or hopefully traditional hunting if w can get that silly law repealed!)I don't ride anymore although my daughter does but I follow on foot most meets. Look forward to chatting to you all and would appreciate any advice on training my pup!
