Not exactly like your's but I have a Remmy 700 VSSF II in .204, same 26" barrel length & twist rate 1 in 12. It hates the 40's can't stabilize the bullet unable to better 3 inch group at 100yds. But it loves the 32's, 1 inch groups at 200 yds.
Mike in my local gun shop told me to look out soon for the importers GMK bringing in the Federal 39gr 'blitz king' factory load, meant to stabilize better in rifles with a 1 in 12 barrel due to it not being a 'boat tail' bullet.
