All you need to do is look up your local clay shoot and you will find thousands of spent shotgun cartridges they are eager to get rid of...likewise find your nearest Rifle Club/Range and go collect as many as they will let you have!!! Thankyou! I hadn't thought of that. I emailed my local shooting ground. I hope they are willing!

Hi everyone, I have a question to ask of you and I apologise if this is off topic or annoys any members here. I am a Forensic Science student studying in Leicester and I am working on a portfolio of firearms evidence, I would ideally like to photograph impressions left in spent rounds such as marks left by the firing pin, striations, extractor claw marks etc. My question is would anybody perhaps have any spent cartridges/projectiles that they would normally dispose of, that I would be able to use? Ideally I'd like a small selection - shotgun, rifle, centrefire, rim-fire. Anything to g
