Hi all Up for grabs are 99 once fired Lapua 308 brass cases. There were 100 but after I opened up the box I found one that was too badly deformed to be used safely. I have not used these myself, although I have removed all the old primers. Other than that I haven't touched them. They look like they may have been trimmed, deburred and chamferred but it would be up to you to decide if they needed any other case prep. I'm selling them as shorlty after buying them I was GIVEN 100 brand new cases from a friend and so i decided to use the new ones instead. If you would like these cases the p

Hi all New to the forum so just thought I'd tell you all abit about myself. I've been involved with shooting sports for most of my life having started out with an air rifle before graduating to shotguns and rifles as soon as I was able to apply for my license. Currently I'm shooting a 308 albeit at targets after I and several others lost our shooting rights after the land owner decided he wanted to start charging a ridiculous amount of money for the shooting that was actually available. Having moved up to a 308 I've now taken an active interest in reloading too. As well as the shootin

Hi mate I understand what you are saying perfectly. I have skinned the rabbit I am feeding and have cut the body into smaller pieces as he will not eat all that much anyway due to moulting and being overweight in the first place. Thats for your advice all the same! Kind Regards Adam

what magnification are you after? I use a fixed mag. 4 x 32 Hawke Optics Sport HD scope with mil dot reticule. I bought mine for about £40quid (may have been less), and have set it to a 20m zero to ensure humane shots Kind Regards Adam

It works very well I actually use it for when I go airsofting, as I play sniper usually. I have been withing 5m of some guys and they didnt see me . I took it with me as I wanted to make sure my shape was broken up, and would you believe I was actually able to walk towards a rabbit, stop take aim with the rabbit eating! Adam

You should be able to tell if its been shot any were on its body, if you are in doubt, skin it and look for evidence of shooting Good idea mate. I shall skin it and then feed in smaller pieces

Im sure he will, although I must admit I am little nervous about giving them to him...they've both been paunched and I have removed the head of the one I am planning to give him but I am paranoid about him getting lead poisoning. I shall have to give the body a complete examination before feeding I think. Adam

Went to the farm that I have permission to fly my hawk on yesterday afternoon with the purpose of getting a couple of rabbits for my hawk. I was using my BSA XL Lightning Tactical with a Hawke Optics 4x32 Sport HD scope. My zero was set at 20m. My ace of the day though was my home made ghillie suit which allowed me to get as close as 20m if not closer, as I wanted to ensure that my shots were humane and accurate. Well here are the results! I will be removing the heads of each rabbit prior to feeding to my hawk, as both shots were head shots. My rifle still needs a bit of

Copied from my post on another forum as I don't want to rewrite a good piece of writing This shall be my last update to my short season spent with a male redtail hawk named "Red". For those who do not know or have not read through this whole thread, I obtained "Red" from my mentor on Saturday 14th February. There have been ups and downs over the last 2 months, but overall I have loved every moment spent with this incredible bird. But my season has now come to an end finally after much indecision to keep flying him. Before someone asks why I have carried on so late, I hope my answer

Do not believe people when they say that a male red will struggle to take feather. They can and regularly take feather if you get them seriously fit. Ive started after 14months with a 3 year old male redtail and Im glad I did. You have to be thinking all the time when handling a red or you will soo see how painful a mistake can be. Without wanting to put you off , this is a good thing though. Far too many people become complacent. Don't get me wrong thought, I love harris hawks, in fact i was looking at a harris before I got my redtail, but you will gain so much more with a redtail than a harr
