  1. I prefer spot and stalking much like deer hunting. Makes good practice on stealth. We don't have much warren type hunting for rabbits here and hunting rabbits from vehicles is illegal. We can only hunt from 30 minutes before official sunrise to the exact official sunset. So....no night rabbit hunting. If an area is known to have considerable population of bunnies then a hide or stand is good way for us to snipe some cottontails especially after a consideralble snow storm when it is sunny. the rabbits are easy pickings when the come out to warm themselves in the warmth of the Sun.
  2. I just wanted to add...it seems Rabbit hunting is not quite as popular as it once was in the USA, but my son and I enjoy it very much. We like spot and stalking them with our .22lr rifles. No dogs. Here's a cellphone picture from my last solo hunt. 7 is the daily limit. This is my Grandfather's Glenfield Mod. 20 that I inherited many years ago after his passing.
  3. Hello to all. I just joined this forum. I was just surfing the web searching through hunting topics and I came upon this site. It's very nice site with some different perspectives and shared experiences than I get with my current sites. I'm very much looking foward to spending a lot of time on this forum and sharing some of my own hunting adventures here in Nebraska and where ever I may go. Cheers.
