with a springer 30 - 40 no more probably, depends on calibre too though. With a pcp i have shot rabbits at 60 yards easily and even dropped one through the head at 72 yards, i wouldn't recommend these type of shots all the time though. If you are wanting to take your shooting further in range practice a lot on targets, apples are good if you can get them at the rough size of a rabbits head, they provide a 3d target allowing you to adjust better when shooting in the filed compared to paper targets.
