Giving antibiotics straight away as some older vets insist is a waste of time and your money. Antbiotics should only be used for secondary infection. My dogs had this in the summer and my vet wanted me to give anti-biotics as a preventative to the others... He also got humpy because I inssisted he come out to my car to see her, told me I could bring her in! I refused and when I went in to pay without her , there were 3 other dogs coughing their guts up
