  1. thanks to all, i have at last decided on some thing from both worlds a wirehair vizsla. i have found an breeder in Yorkshire who is hopefully going to have pups ready in April. i have been and seen his dogs working and what can i say, they worked fantastically covering as much ground as a springer until it was time to point then a instant lock up and point. i tryed them with both hawk and gun, all dogs were faultless in both disciplines.
  2. hi i live at buckie,i mostly go wildfowling but enjoy ferreting and a bit of walked up,i have a german wirehaired pointer cracking dog a bit wild my lack of training but a very versatile dog all the best jim jim, i have ben told that the german wirehair pointer is hard headed to train, what can you tell me about the dogs coat as i have also been told that they only cast once a year?
  3. For me it has to be the hungarian vizsla...its a very versatile breed...whichever you go for always make sure you get something from working strain....theres a lot of stuff being bred with the pretence of being worked.... good luck with what you go for [bANNED TEXT] have a look at my site i have quite a few good pics on the vizsla www.gazven.co.uk all the best [bANNED TEXT] Gaz My old man has a German Wirehaired Pointer - i cant say anything bad about him. top dog and great with kids.
