  1. hi, thanks for all the banter, however i am being serious, and i do have respect for my quarry. its not just for a bet, i want to prepare and eat any rabbits caught, but you know what mates are like they are taking the piss. i am following all advice on the web site, however as i have stated the main problem seems to be the lack of beats, although there is definatly rabbits here. the main questions i require answering are; is it still a good time to hunt rabbits (its very cold over here now) is a catapult a viable option? thanks again.
  2. hi, im in the army and i work in germany. were i work is only used during the day and deserted at night and is home to lots of wildlife, rabbits, hares wild bore, deer etc. after reading some very good articles on this website i have bought some snares and made some of my own and i have been setting them up now for a week or so. heres my problem. after nearly 2 weeks of setting 20 snares up every night i havnt caught anything. its become a bet between the lads now wether ill ever catch one and its costing me. i set them up as described on this site, but still no rabbits. were i am
  3. hi, i have a year old patterdale x jack ( i know the purist dont like crossing patterdales) i bought him from a hunter, he comes from a good stock. to be honest i bought him as a family pet, but as i walk him now, hes mad for anything that runs, im a squaddy in germany, and in the woods that i walk, there is deer, wild bore, rabbits, fox's, red squirrels, the list is endless. its now got to the point were as soon as we enter the woods, he picks up, he's alert and up for it, i keep him on the lead on tease him till i see a chase, the slip the lead and let him go, he goes nuts yelping th
