Thank you very much for your kind reply. I did not know that Liverpool also had a tree from Norway. Here you can see from left to right the Mayor of Oslo and the Mayor of Westminster Mrs. Susan Burbridge using and old double handed saw.

Today the Christmas tree of Trafalgar Square was cut down in Norway. This has been done every year since 1947. The tree is a gift to the U.K. for their support and assistance of the Norwegian people, during the second world war. Here you can see the environment and where the action took place. The action was supervised by the Mayor of Westminster Mrs. Susan Burbridge, the English ambassador to Norway Mrs. Jane Owen and the Mayor of Oslo Mr. Fabian Stang. Yes it should be. Just behind the trigger itself, there are an adjusting screw. Normally the trigger blade and the adjusting screw are "silvery" in appearance. The HW models without the "Record" trigger unit are blackish in appearance. The trigger pull are also considerably heavier. The picture shows only a little part of the unit, but I think you may be able to see if "your" trigger looks like this.

Anyone wondering how a "Record" trigger works, may take a closer look here. Picture no. 1 shows the position (close up at approximately 2x power) of the sear no.2 (top) and sear no. 3 (down) when the gun is cocked (loaded) but the trigger is not touched yet. Picture no. 2 shows the new position of sear when you have pulled the trigger to the point of release. The tiny overlap left between the sear(s) at this stage, tells you the reason why the "Record" trigger is known to have a clean crisp let off, that can bee adjusted to almost no creep at all. The fish on the picture is, as already mentioned, a "cyclopterus lumpus" . In addition I would like to say that the fish shown is female. The name in GB is Lumpsucker. The species are widely spread in the north atlantic and lives partly pelagic and occurs in coastal waters during the season. The fish has no value as human food.

Hi grim! Thank you very much for your informative answer. My "problems" are whether to by pcp or not. I have been looking at hw 100, but the prise are so high in Norway you can not imagine. I already have some air guns: Little Norica, hw 25,30,57, and two 97 in 5.5mm (both) Anschutz match rifle, walther ssp mod. lgr match rifle, and walther talon magnum 4.5mm. This rifle are the same as hatzan 125 I guess. This rifle was awful too shoot with. The kick was too strong and accuracy not present. I have done some work with it. Look at canon 300/4oo series and nikon 40/40x/70/70s/80. If you can afford it, by lenses with IS or VR . This feature helps holding steady in low light situations. the brand lenses 18-55 are very light and optical over average in performance. If you can get one of this second hand you may be happy. Other brands may be good too but I do not know them. The third part lenses are cheaper but may suffer in quality.

HW57 is a very nice weapon to shoot, but you should know that this rifle has a little longer distance from the pistol-grip to the trigger than normal. The loading can be a little troublesome, but there are different opinions here. I do not know if the rifle is powerful enough for your type of hunting. The built quality is very good and the trigger is superb.

I have heard that pcp guns are more fragile and cannot withstand hard use over time without leaking or cause other problems. And if something happens with the system it`s difficult to repair by yourself, and requires expensive repairs. I am living in Norway so the circumstances here might be different.

If you like to have the most reliable and trouble free camera you should take a closer look to canon and nikon. The small models as the canon 300/400 series are very handy and more than good enough so is the nikon 40x 70s and so on. the more professional canon 20/30/40 and nikon 200/300 even better. more robust, but little difference in picture quality. Your first lens should be the 18-55mm WITH IS OR VR. Those lenses incorporate an built in stabilizer that will help you hold steady in low light situations.
