  2. get your self a rabbit and teese the dog with the rabbit and then let it kill it and eat it so it associates them with food so it will want them when your out lamping

ROFLMAO :rofl::rofl: like Curry do you??????????? I had a whippet That wouldnt pick up not even baby bunnies she would run at the side of them and she never did pick up but she was a smashing house dog and the kids love her.

I bought another dog for the fields and gave her the kids.

  3. Lurcher Bitch stolen tonight. 16 months old from Newark in Nottinghamshire.

They have climbed a 7ft fence with barbed wire round the top, thrown a rabbit to the Rottweiler guard dog ??and broke the lock off the metal pen door. Must have been more than one of them. Neighbours have seen nothing.

Large reward for safe return, no questions asked..... am absolutely gutted !!

Also took my sons brindle 8 months old pup saluki greyhound bull greyhound,

picture is the most recent i have showing her with shot hares that she has retrieved.

I had mine took 4 years ago in daylight sat afternoon i was in boozer they took the lot 3 gates nosey neighbours the lot, the police took 3 days to come and ive not heard a thing since Im probably not making things any better but mine was all chipped and still no luck.

the pup in the pic is the bitch.

hmmmm ;) Im Very tempted do you think the rough dog will turn out like the sire ???

As its him im really after :clapper::clapper: I love Heartbeat dogs....

  5. a never new that them rambo bedlingtons was nickys lines i have seen them rambo lines all over the shop

nice to see a halifax lad doing good for is self

they're not... Rambo was owned by S Staley...... ;)

don't know what day of the week you were talking to Nick pidge,, but looking at your dog I would say there is a fair percentage of lakeland in that.. unless the bitch that was used had a lot of Rambo in her.. I don't know just surmising... ;)

I See It was that when i collected pup 3 years ago we stood talking on his yard and he was explaining his dogs I know he didnt own the bitch but did own the dog and i also knew there was a fair bit of Lakie in there.

Im not upon the Beddies like yourself. When did they start putting Lakie in there and why?

Looks like i got the Rambo lines wrapped around my kneck,But im sure he did mention it was in the dogs.

  6. ;) Odd title, 'Rambo lines' how much Rambo is in that dog Pidge, just curious ??

Not sure to be true it was supposed to be a reply to Daveo's thread as hes just got a pup and he wanted a pic of mine But instead I made by mistake a new thread.

I was wondering when youd reply to this thread as in the past youve mentioned that you know Nicky from Halifax and when I went to view to purchase pup he shown me his Beddies and explained that they were from the Rambo lines.

Hed let someone in the Lakes use his dog to line there bitch and as a payment he took 2 chocolate pups one dog and one bitch ie my bitch in payment.

  7. Sozz to steal your thunder ill stick to this one now :clapper:

To Be honest i havent many of her getting down and dirty as i dont tend to take the camera when i take her out on my own these are what the kids have took

Ill be honest though its the most obidient dog ive ever owned and ive never seen faithfull like it she sits at night staring at me like some demented collie.

And when were out i laugh when other terriers come running over yapping and therea a full family running after it shouting "Toby come" and i end up getting my dog to sit while they get theres back on a lead.

Shes Brilliant with my kids but to be honest shes growled at the wife a few times inwhich you can probably read about in my earlier threads.

Shes also a good guard dog as she wont let anyone through the gates (not like my firkin Lurchers that got stole 4 years ago in broad daylight)since then ive only kept the beddie as in some ways i would love a lurcher but would i spoil the Beddies mannerism towards me.On our Holls shell play in the sea all day with my kids then when there in bed weve been known to have an early evening walk around the camp site and return with a few bunnies.

Yes i like mine and i would have another

  8. Hi Has anyone got any Hancock Half cross Beardie pics im interested in taking one of his pups off Hector but id like a bit more info and pics he says there very popular so is there anyone out there???

PLEASE.....I know there not working strain and YES.. I know im buying off a puppy pedlar ..I DONT WANT THIS TO BECOME ANOTHER HANCOCK SLANGING MATCH I just want info and pics of this cross also any collie cross workers why choose beardie have they the intelligence of the border as it seems to be mainly the border we see doing the agility stuff.

To be honest ive thought of having a Beardie / Border cross as i cant seem to really make my mind up but the straight beardie half cross seems to make a smaller dog inwhich would suit me better (No i dont want a beddie x whippet cus they make a smaller dog)

  9. I have a 14month old Whippet x Greyhound very fast and a really nice dog. pictures on some of my other posts if i can fin a nice home for him in the wales region or a swap for another dog i will be happy to do so. Free to a good home. Swap would be preferable.

Whats the reason for gettin shut if hes a really fast nice dog and catches

What you after a really nice dog thats fast, catches and gets the round in. :clapper:

  10. I have one dog and one bitch and they get on very well as long as the dog remembers that the bitch is the boss! The bitch seems to naturally get on better with male dogs. I know they all have different personalities but i think i was always be swayed to keeping one of each sex after seeing they way these two get on. It is quite harmonious - important i think especially if they are living in your house with family etc.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

How do you go on when the bitch is in season ??

  11. Hi all Ive got the oppurtunity to obtain a collie x whippet x greyhound pup.

I currently work a straight beddie to rabbit and to be honest theres nothing wrong with the team (Me n Beddie).

But trouble is sometimes it can be annoying when we miss the squatter out in the open field and ive often thought in the past and said to the bitch "we could do with some longer legs for you"

My only fear is ive got to go through introducing another dog to our family inwhich i cant see the Beddie being all that chuffed after having full attention of the family for the last 3 years. And also when were out the beddie pays me full attention shes like a border collie in them stupid dance shows(im sure theyve got chocolate in there hands) :clapper:

I dont want to sacrifice this with another dog.

The beddie is a bitch and ive got chance of dog or bitch in the pups.

All opinions welcome good or bad.

All dogs enjoy havin some other 4 legged company and although it might take time, a new dog will be excepted by Beddie - you will just find that she will be top dog!! :big_boss: which means you have to treat her like one - feed her first, fuss her first, treat her first, speak to her first etc.

do you want to breed? That will decide if you want a dog or a bitch - but just remember 2 bitches will fight when in season :boxing:

    Helen

To be honest it dosent matter dog or bitch but i wouldnt want THEM to breed so i suppose its a bitch as a dog would go wappy while beddie was in season :wallbash:

Unless you got his nuts chopped!! :o

Trouble is they live indoors so i think im prob better off getting a bitch
