    used to use a deben collar and box, but they did not seem to last long and went a bit funny if either part got over wet. bellman and flint box is fantastic, the arrows are a not quite right and no one ive spoken to seems to know why but as far as the digital display and the peips system goes they are second to none. You get what you pay for in my mind.

    Thankyou both for your comments. this is the sort of feed back i am getting a lot of. there is a mix of ideas as to whether or not chopping him will make any difference. i personally have not seen the result of a working terrier which has been castraighted so I am still unable to pass too much comment. Kenneling them separately is not such an easy option as I still have the need to excersize them together and the two just seem to want to fight when out together. in the kennel there is not such a problem as the terrier sleeps in a large cage.

    what if he turns out to be the best terrier you ever had? you will one day want to take a pup from him,kennell him on his own and problem solved I see where u are coming from however even if i kennel them separatly i still have to exercise them all together. It wouldnt be possible for me to keep them separate like that im afraid. I think the best thing would e to swap him for a bitch. dont you?

    Hello. For a start, I keep working terriers. but I have always stuck to bitches. I am just trying to find out if having him chopped is simply going to cause me more problems by way of having a dog which is no good. keep the poodle

    ive just been given an 11 month patterdale dog, the problem i am now having is that I keep bitches as a rule and this has now thrown a spanner in the works. He is Marking EVERYWHERE, gets aggressive for no apparent reason and is doing his level best to scew my black lab. I have spoken with a number of people and the general consensis is that if i have him done he will lose his "spark" and not make as a good a working dog, And this dog has a lot of potential. Is it worth running the risk of ruining a fantastic worker???? comments please!

    I have just bought a new patterdale terrier, he is 11months old from working lines and is a cracking dog. I have kept and worked patterdales before but have always stuck to Bitches. In my kennels I currently have one black lab bitch and one alsation bitch. now the alsation is not such a problem as she has been speyed and is kenneled separately, the problem comes in with the young black lab and the pat. I have not had her speyed as it is my intention to breed from her this summer, and introducing a male into the equation has not created too much of a problem for her, but my concerns are that wh
