The need to double de clutch to get into gear still ongoing so here is an update i had 2 people look at it(both part time fiddle so called mechanics) 1 said clutch master cylinder 1 said slave although no visible leaks. i went to "mr clutch" and after a quick look he said there was some travel on the pedal (play on hole elongated where pin & split pin secure master cylinder to pedal) it looks like the pedal needs welding or replaced as there isnt a dealer part to go in this hole.
I adjusted the travel on the cylinder rod slightly which has made a bit of a difference if only slight..
