  3. seems to be a lot of slagging going on here in THL, with all of us having the same interest and dogs seems strange that we can't put up a thread and leave it there so that if someone did want to write on one of the threads themselfs they could it ain't right that the mods can PICK and AXE a thread as they deam if there is nothing in the thread that should not be shown just depending on who wrote it..and who it might be about.

  5. Looks like a nice rifle.

Do you work for Steyr by any chance...??

wish i did might be able to save a few quid, I am plumbing in Germany now.

the gunshop here said this might do the job so not being sure thought I would ask here and hope to get a few insights to the gun.

    Cheers HTS

  6. I have been asked to take care of some of the Bisam rats that are digging their way through the damm walls surrounding the lakes here in Germany. not being able to use a .22lfb I thought about using one of these in .22 with 40 Joules

    LINK TO THE STEYR SITE

would be interesting to hear if any one has had any sort of rifle with this sort of power and if a silencer works would be thinking of using one of the Wildcat's Whisper for it.

The LG 110 HP HUNTING is a combination of maximum shot capacity, lowest ammunition costs and highest safety! With a possible energy of up to 40 Joules and .22 calibre, this rifle is as accurate as a small bore rifle at shorter distances and has less muzzle noise especially important near inhabited areas. The HP HUNTING is utilised to control vermin and predatory animals which could bring native wildlife closer to extinction. It's also excellent for a hunters' training.

  7. Nutria

would like to know how they fare against a terrier?

Are they easy to get to, wondered if the dogs had to face a water filled set?

there are a few guys on here that hunt Nutria with terriers, I will be taging on

with them too see. but I think they would be able to answer the question better.

or will do a write up when we have been out.

    Cheers HTS

  10. European or common hamsters, I remember reading when I was a kid they are a bit feisty but feck picking one of them up. Pet ones are bad enough and there half the size :icon_eek:

The European hamster is a lot bigger than the normal ones that we normaly see in the pet shop, they will nip you and if you get close to the nest they act like in the vid, plus if you have got them on your ground in Germany the green monsters will be all over you and will put up a protection area even if it is on private land the farmers are not allowed to use any sort of fertiliser or work the ground around the Hamsters. Building projects have been stoped because of this little fella and most of the nests are known to the antis..

    cheers HTS
