    anyone know how much emission a toyota hilux pre 2005 model chucks out??? As i cant seem to find any emissions for them on the net cheers

    Yeah sounds about right, a lot of 4x4 road tax is going up nearly double (have a look at parkers.com). Wasent sure if pick-uo insurance would as its classed as a commercial vehicle

    Looking at getting around a x or w reg suzuki grand vitara for general run-around to and from the farm and taking out into the fields for shooting/lamping. Question is are they up to it with there smaller ground clearance, than most other 'bigger' 4x4's? will probably get some goodrich all terrain on when time/money allows. cheers Ian

    Hi, a farmer has asked me to get rid of a load of rabbits that are causing major problems on his winter wheat fields. The two fields border a steep drop off into brambles ect (where all the warrens are) where there is a footpath. Are you allowed to snare by footpaths? i went up there once and put 20 down as the light was fading then came back at 6.00am in the morning and got 7 all told?

    Cant decide which to get, most likley looking to get a single cab with a budget up to £4-5000 to spend, would the hilux be more reliable? cheers

    What do people think of the BF Goodrich All Terrain tyre for its on and off road ability, what millage could I expect out of them if i was to use them on road % of the time? cheers

    I'm not to woried about fuel as its just going to be used to get to work (only 10 miles away), round the fields on weekends and occassionally to take the girlfriend into town ect. might look at getting a single cab pick-up l200 or hilux for around £3-4000 and put it on third party insurance. Would a single cab pick give you a few more mpg than a double cab? Thanks the replies

    Looking for a bit of advice, ive just finished uni (im 22) and before a get stuck into a proper job im taking a year or so out to work over the summer on a farm before i head to new zealand for a few months. What would you reccomend i get thats not going to cost me a fortune to run and insure. i do a lot of shooting on weekends and need some thing ok 'on-road' and 'good-off road' and will give me reasonable mpg if there is such a 4x4. My budget is £5000 max, and thought a single cab hilux, l200 or even a defender 90 would suit the bill on third party insureance. Cheers, Ian
