just to add though.....as much as its nice to think your dog is protecting and wont be stolen or will 'back up' his bark he probably will break if the pressure is put on him,......just because your lurcher is 'going mental' behind a gate or in the kennel doesnt mean he is a guard dog...yes alot of people may be put off etc but there is a big difference between a guard dog......and a lurcher that 'barks'..... valentino

hi,...for some reason i cant get videos up,..ie youtube etc this is what it says on youtube where the vid should be ''hello, you either have javascript turned off or an old version of adobes flash player. Get the latest flash player'' anyway i tried to get the latest flash player but when i click install it just refreshes me to same page? ive noticed this happened before but sorted itself out? unless a family member did somthing but they dont remember doing anything? any help thanks

just to add.......guard dogs are not like other dogs,........ dont be fooled by your collie x barking at people or your beddy x bouncing off the walls to keep out unwanted visitors,....these arent guard dogs albeit you may think it is as for guard dogs......serious guard dogs,...you must imo, seek out reputable breeders of these dogs and visit and ask questions, and then ask more questions and visit more kennels......they may not be for you, infact 90% of people on here wont cope with them and dont need that much dog,....and will probably change there mind,.......but it is better to

ive seen afew caucasian ovcharkas,.....infact been in they yard and home of them and they didnt bother me at all... infact the bitches in the house seemed to me like any other family dog and i even went into the room with the week old pups with ne bother,..... now when i was show the father to the pups, i must admit i sh#t me pants,....on appearance and presence,,,,but in all honestly the dog was well mannered and just got on with his buisness.... ive been to places with other 'serious' guard dogs were you cant get near them without them 'wanting abit' so imo, these ovcha

imo,..the thing to remember with 'guarding' type dogs, is that they arent toys, and a great deal of thinking and visits to kennels of dogs etc to see what these dogs are capable of is a must....and hopefully the breeder will be a good one and tell you straight whether or not you can have one of their pups.....and hopefully you will have decided whether they are for you there are some very serious dogs out there and in my opinion there is a very small minority who need this level of 'guarding instinst' valentino

well,....here we are today,....and 4 times i have been told the dvd will be with me by a certain date.......anyway got told i would have it last friday,...didnt show......then phoned up and said a batch had gone out on friday, and another would be sent out on tuesday so i would have recieved it today.....again no show so i phoned up and guess what....there another problem where the dvd has been damaged or something so i aint recieving one im getting rembursed so does anyone have a copy of the rabbitingman 3 forsale thanks valentino

i bought a dvd afew weeks back,.......on the advert for it, it said allow up to 2weeks for delivery,.... now my maths is no good but i think ive been waiting 6 now?.... just wondering if anyone else has had a delay or is it just me valentino

Flapping would be far the better option especially for a beginner, less silly rules & general stuffiness. I don't know what your local track would be but there are a couple in Durham & one in Northumberland that i can think of. Get along to them & even better if you can get someone to show you the ropes before you get your dogs. Personally the last thing i would do is buy a racer & then give it to a trainer to run, wouldn't be nowhere near as much fun. chers mate,....yeah i know the tracks yes for me it would defeat the object of giving a dog to someone else to t

cheers for replies lads,... i know nothing about the greyhound game......only been intrested in running stuff that may get away ,...but ive been thinking about greyhounds for sometime,, and one day may race greys,.....i would want to do it ngrc, but that seems to be abit complicated to get into as i would only want 1 - 2 greyhounds and to train and race them myself...no interference from trainers etc..... but that seems to be alot easier in flapping?...so maybe that would be my best choice? just to add,....im not a gambler,..id only want to run my dogs to win.. valentino

there is NEVER a rush in buying a pup,.....always take your time and find the one that will SUIT you best,...you will only regret it for being 'impatient',....doest matter what type of dog your after,..or any other type of animal...there is no rush valentino

ok, so i would like peoples opinions on a generator or a alternative,..just for power into stables and other crees,...i.e lighting,....etc preferably as quiet as possible....infact no noise would be ideal... any info,.. thanks Valentino

just wondering what opinions you lads have on the difference between flapping and ngrc,...in the aspect of you running your dogs for yourself both for and against on both sides.....which do you prefere and why? how easy is it to start flapping compared to ngrc? quality of races etc thanks Valentino
