    I'm going to go to our local gundog trainer, who is brilliant, and see what we can do, she's very good with hand signals as she's competed in agility

    Hi, I'm quite new to shooting and am looking to get my first gundog, I've got a Cockapoo, who might have a bit of springer in there too, who I'm considering training to be a gundog, she'd be a good beater but I'm not sure how she'd do picking up, I've got no idea on her family history but she has got a very natural hunting instinct. If I couldn't train her, what breed would you recommend for a first time gundog handler?
