  1. HW110 .177 6 months old

    Hllo all!

Ive had my HW110 for 6 months and am already getting itchy for another PCP! So I’m considering a swap or a sale, just looking to see what offers I get to see if it’s worth it! The rifle is 6 months old, comes with 3 sets of mounts (ATN quick release 30mm tube, Hawke fixed mount both 1” and 30mm so any scope you have it will fit! That’s nearly £80 in just mounts...), 2 magazines, a bipod, bag and a shooting bag rest!

It’s EXTREMELY UNFUSSY with pellets, every brand I’ve put through (no crappy pellets) has been unbelievably  accurate! So if you have any offers I’m all ears!

There isn’t a mark on this rifle!

please no stupid offers, the mounts and the bag (scope can be included if the the swap offers one in return) cost over £100 themselves and the rifle is only 6 months old therefore realistically looking for near the £550 mark or a swap for a PCP (and cash if the PCP offered is worth it) I preferably want a swap!

  2. Thank you all! Yes once I get my HW110 I will be putting hours upon hours of work in to get to know the rifle and what we are capable of. Once this is done I'll be sure to get insured ASAP and will take what everyone has said and see how I get along! Also if anyone has any second hand scopes (reaaally wanting an airmax 30 sf) or pumps in West Sussex please let me know!

  3. Hello all!

long story short, basically I recently graduated university so money is extreeeeemly tight for me. Therefore, over the last few months I've been making small deposits on my very first PCP air rifle (HW110 in .177) as I've wanted one for years and air gunning has been my passion since I was 10 and shot for the first time. I've often considered buying one second hand but as it's my first ever proper air rifle I want it to be brand spanking new and be mine and only ever be mine (I'm weird like that).

However, I've just got my first proper job and become a teacher at an autistic school, so, over the next few months I should have the stability to purchase my rifle in full and get a decent pump and scope.

I currently own two very cheap and basic springers, one is an SMK under-lever which cost me about £120 when I was 18 so 4 years ago, and another which is a gamo whisper springer IGT, both of which have fairly poor accuracy and I've never really had the confidence to take shots past 15 yards with them because past that range my Nan throwing a stone at the target whilst 5 G&T's deep would be more accurate.

So ive come across very few air gunners that have permissions so can't really find my breakthrough as I want to be able to use The HW110 to its full potential and really increase my shooting ability. However, with my currently rifles I see it as pointless going out and busting for a permission, and if I landed one, not be able to shoot any quarry the owner would want as my current rifles won't allow me to push past 10 - 15 yards or so.

SO, the question is, how do I go about finding a permission once I have my 110?! I've come across one lad who I saw walk past my house with an air rifle case and pump and I chased him down the street (probably scared the life out of him as I was wearing a full tracksuit just back from the gym) and he said he shot up the road from me and we exchanged numbers and he said he would give me a shout when he next went out, and haven't heard anything from him in the last 6 months.... SO, how do I get myself into the right places to start to find people with permissions?!

I live in in east grinstead (West Sussex) so if any of you on here are locals please give me a help in hand!!

  4. Glad to see you passed on your previous options and put the HW100 top of your list. If it was me it would be KT (laminate) but what ever you go for mate your getting one of the best.

Yes it seems ther was an overwhelming opinion on the hw100 that meant I couldn't consider it again, thankfully my local shop had the kt model in which I loved, so thanks for the help!

  5. Does anybody on here have shooting experience with the hw100kt and the hw100t full length version? Obviously you sacrifice shot count with the kt version, but what i am concerned about is do you sacrifice accuracy as well? I want the model that is most likely going to give me a solid platform for both target shooting (hft most likely) and hunting.

  7. Hello, I am about to invest in my first pcp and was completely set on getting a compatto in .177 . However, I am now very much leaning towards spending that extra £200 on a daystate huntsman regal because I've been told it will hold value more and is a much better rifle but I'm just unsure if it is worth the extra £200 (I am straight out of uni so money is definitely a big factor for me)

So I need your advice, is it worth spending £800 on my first pop or should I just stick with the brocock compatto? The main purpose of the rifle will be hunting/plinking with the occasional hft course.

  8. Hello all!

I'm looking to buy my first PCP air rifle and want to spend no more than £600. I have narrowed it down to either the brocock compatto or the Halsam gladius as they're both bullpups and good for hunting.

However, I want the rifle that is most accurate, which by looking at YouTube reviews and other reviews it seems that the brocock isextremely accurate. However, I can't seem to find much on the Hatsan.

The main reason I'm stuck is because I want the brocock because of the accuracy but I much prefer the looks of the hatsan gladius.

Anyone out there who has got experience with both who can help me out?
