Hi all,, I did swear blind that I would Never /Ever knit anymore long nets
... Well for some strange reason I did ..first one is 65 yards set back to 30 yards ,, made with spun Nylon with braided nylon selvedge meshes.
next one again made from spun nylon/polyester/and air bag twine,, set onto 25 yards though I think I went just a tad far to much slack
...
To date the only thing that they have caught is a Fat Terrier

You will need to cut the two nets as you do need knots for this way to work. If the ends of the nets do not have knots it can be hard work and a hell of a lot easier to cut the net.I'll give it ago tomorrow cheers for all the info mate

It hasn't got the knots, so do I just cut the net back a extra mesh so the knots are still on?

Yes baggin both the same mateEasy enough to sew two nets together but is the baggin the same in both nets ?.

Permanently or just for use? Be much handier having 2, and just overlap them an if you mean just to use. I usualy just overlap the pins
Yes permanently was gonna make 100 yard but thort could just add that on and go again

Am I the only one that wants to know if he got the stoat?

That's very unusual, bolted lots of stoats before. Normally they do a runner rather than stay and fight shame this one didn't! How is your ferret now? Other than that looks like you had a good day out.
The ferret is feeling sorry for itself my lass is treating like a baby

Wasn't nice too see coz the ferret was squealing and spraying it scent good job the other was there coz it was latched on wasn't letting go, still a good day tho

Had a good day again today, had a little mooch around a couple more fields and there didn't seem to be much about, did a few of the holes we did last week and got a few out not much at all. So we moved on and netted up on set we never done, Put the ferrets down the holes and there wasn't anything until there was a big squeal ran over to where it came from and the ferret was having a roll about with a stoat, wasn't looking very good for the ferret until it's big brother came along and helped out, soon as I could get both out I checked over the one what was fighting at first and it's chest was wide open so retired it straight away for the day, the other was ok, so had to ferret the most of the day with just one, we decided to go to another field out the way where we had a canny afternoon considering we only had the one ferret, got back home and war veteran is in the house getting some VIP treatment

Thanks for all the info, I'm gonna go with the fibre glass, I will use hazel sticks for my 5/10 yard nets. Atb ashy!
