  1. Hi. I'm new to all of this forum stuff but I'm looking for some genuine advice. Sifting through the Internet and I'm still stuck. Now as far as I know, catapults are legal to use on common and private land. You can even carry one with you providing you don't have intention of harming someone and you use your common sense. Using it on common land is again legal providing you observe your surroundings in order to prevent putting anyone at danger. What defines public land though? Could someone use it if a public footpath runs through a conservation centre?. I use a shotgun o
