I have eight dogs of my own. A GSD/Doberman x that at 13 yrs old still catches his supper, a collie and three collie crosses, a retriever x, a working cocker/dachsund mix (she goes to ground AND brings it back...), and a three-quarters Irish Water Spaniel.

I am the producer/director of a BBC film, Pedigree Dogs Exposed, which aired in 2008 and caused a bit of a fuss. I now run the Pedigree Dogs Exposed blog which continues to chivvy the Kennel Club and breeders and tries to remind people that what's really important in and for a dog... i.e. not running round a show-ring in pursuit of a ribbon. I have joined, in the short-term, to highlight a petition I've just launched to try to prevent the Kennel Club registering the Jack Russell, which am sure many here will agree is a working dog first and foremost.
