Guest little_lloyd
Too many of us just jump at first sight to pop a pellet into a squiirel which would result in injury and a slow death Where others sit tight (like a squiirel in a drey) untill the curious little critters apear agian so they can get a decent head shot When we first strated on the squirrels a few months back we did just take any chance at poping a shot, But that did result in some getting away and maybe with a pellet stuck in its leg or arm No matter how horrible squiirels are it should be the shooter/pest controller responsibilty to esure a clean and humane death. I have learnt that over the last few weeks the squirrels have become more curisos, rather that a few months back when they were shit scared. If you sit tight and wait for a squirrel they will appear and carry on there normal activitys not realising you are watching them Then you can get a much better shot at the head.....rather than them rushing out and you putting pellets all over there body and ending up with a squiirel that is limping tree from tree untill the shooter can put a few more pellets into it to end its life in a painfull way GOOD HUNTING Quote Link to post

bshadle 5
Over here we usually hunt them with shotguns or .22LR, but your philosophy and advice is still good. Doesn't cost a penny to have respect for your quarry. Quote Link to post
