  1. Hello again SS I visited my local Halfords they did not have Carb cleaner so I got a can of Birchwood casey bore scrubber from ebay and sprayed liberally into barrels and left to soak, eventually after an hour of hard cleaning and scrubbing the marks have all dissapeared so obviously has been plastic or lead residue which has not came off when I was cleaning it out with WD40, Many thanks for the correct advice I'm now very relieved to know I have not damaged my beloved miroku, as I said I'm a total beginner and all these things have to be learned,, Thanks again R.P
  2. Many thanks again SS hope it is plastic! Will clean as you suggested, Will let you know in due course!!! R.p
  3. Hello again ss Many thanks for your advice, It is very hard to tell as looking down the barrel they are so small someone suggested to me this could be plastic residue in the barrells which is very stubborn to get off but I'm sure the marks are going internal not external, it looks like a long skid with small pit marks along the barrells I'd better not name and shame the gun shop yet, I'm going back to my local club next week so hopefully some expert eye's can have a look at it, I've got 450 steel shots left don't think I'll be buying any more or might end up giving them away!!! R
  4. Hello SS hope these photos help there the best my cam will take also getting to grips with how to use this site, Hope you can see this if not I can email you it my address is rondo@supanet.com I bought the gun second hand and I assume somebody had been firing it as when I looked down the barrels when i bought it it needed a good clean, I have only fired 100 cartridges through it which made me wonder if the steelshot was damaging it? another picture to follow
  5. I'm new to this sport, I recently bought a miroku MK38 Grade 1 sporter from the local gun shop and the shopkeeper told me it was steel shot proof. I bought 500 steel shot cartridges 24gm sz7 and 500 lead and used 100 of them to shoot clays after cleaning it out there appears to be small chips inside the barrells I only put them through the bottom barrel as the top one is choked 3/4 The barrel is marked 2 3/4" chamber special steel, Does anybody have this gun? and if so is it steel shot compatable? I don't see the fleur de lis on it but other Miroku's don't either,
  6. Hi I wonder if anybody can help??? I have applied for my SGC and on enquiry my FIO asked if I had suffered from depression or stress, I had a visit to my G.P 10 years ago with back and neck pain my G.P said it could be anxiety of a busy exam period I was in the middle of. I revisited him 1 month later after having a panic attack of chest pain to which he only assured me once my exams were over in 2 weeks time all will be fine, he prescribed me 20 Diazapam tablets and gave me a leaflet on anxiety and that was the end of the matter, I never had any further visits or symptoms
