I have a Bed x JRT Pup Dog and an experienced Jill Ferret as well as AA S410 Carbine.
2007 is first season back and looking to add Bed x Whip in early 2008.
Looking at lamping and ground work.
1. Interested to see if you have found anyone to help, I have a 6 month old Bed x JRT just started running the hedges. Want to wait a couple of months before getting him on rats but would be willing to help with the digging and smoking.
2. Has anyone tried there range of hunting clothing they also do camo and extreme cold weather mountain jackets. I was looking at the INVERNESS 300 IR jacket and trousers. For the same price as a DeerHunter Ram jacket I ca get the jacket and trousers from Decathlon. http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/renforced-wa...ckets-13327697/ Thanks for your help
3. You had a better day than me, I spent most of the day attempting to build a Ferret run before the light faded and failed . Luckily no work tomorrow so I can finish it then!
4. Thanks everyone , will try some of the suggestions and let you know the outcome.
5. Just got a 177 AA S410 Carbine and using AA field pellets, can any recommend a suitable pellet for rabbits at 30-35 yards. Thanks
6. I never thought about the S410 TDR it is light but do you find it robust enough or do you tend to leave it built most of the time?
7. I am returning to the field after 10 years away. Had 2 Bed x Whippet's from Gutchcommon/Laguna lines. Just got myself a 10 week dog Bed x JRT and an experienced Jill Ferret. Just breaking the pup to the ferret and will start to stock break in the New Year. Keen to get some advice from others that are used to the terrier and ground side as my previous work was open field, are there many members in South East England on this forum as I would like to get some ratting in once Jack has been stock broken and taken a few rabbits.
8. I am looking at a rifle for pest control have used springers in the past but never PCP or Gas Ram. Firstly should I even look at PCP or are Gas Ram a good alternative, are either a step to fast so should I just get a high quality springer? Are PCP a pain to re gas and how expensive is it to regas? I am looking at Theoben SLR 98, Air Arms 410 Carbine. I would prefer multishot and low weight any other suggestions on alternative rifles for hunting. Cheers
