Anything that they are used to feeding on. If there are rats, then there is a food source, so try using whatever is around.

But sometimes, a different type of food may encourage a bit more attention.

Anything fleshy can usually overpower the urge to eat grain, from fish to fowl. (but may take a while to get them used to it.)

if you have chickens say, use the food that they are feeding on (chicken corn) if possible, block them away from food for a day, and then put your live catch out. We have a few set around the farm and the most we got was 6 in one trap. Wasnt bad but i have heard of even more caught in one go :o

what do you mean, what happened, we caught the rats, and let them for the dog.

What is the LEGAL way to kill a trapped rat then? Unless you shot tem, which is quite hard when they are running around a cage with bars on it!

Good point Will, i suppose saying they were shot is the best line to use.
