Small Type Jack Russells

I use one for ferreting and bushing. Though she don't like the long long grass especially when wet. would love to work her to ground but need to find a local terrier man who wants an apprentice. She happy enough to enter holes for dummys etc and due to small size can get into smaller holes that some larger dogs mayfind a squeeze. She is game enough but wouldn't be to sure that she would fare ok against a big dog fox. But hopefully will find out one day.

jack russels. of the site as 2 handy little russels , ones 10" the others 11" , there mother and daughter and work on top or below and are very good indeed, the mother as just been retired to be a house dog at 10 yrs old

I KEEP SOME SMALL RUSSELLS I WORK THEM REGULAR WITH THE HOUNDS AND FIND THEM IN VALUABLE WORK THE SAME ONE PERHAPS TWO OR THREE TIMES IN SAME DAY AND NOT HARDLEY A MARK WHERE SOME OF THE BIGGER ONES USE ONCE AND LAID UP YOU WANT BEET HUM AS IT GOES SEEN PLENTY TO BIG AINT SEEN MANY TO SMALL . :victory:

It would seem to me for some reason or another these little bow legged russells are becoming less popular and harder to come by now,working ones that is,probably because of the popularity of the blacks,and a lot of people seem to have written them off.Some very good strains of these little warriors have dwindled off or died out altogether.Shame really as a good one is hard bet in my opinion.also i think the shows have a lot to answer for
