4bellp 0 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Share Posted August 4, 2008 on my spinning rod my top eye has been crushed! i've bought a new eye and i've been told to just superglue it on. the only problem is i cant get the crushed eye off!! any hints to get the old eye off????? i tried using pliers to pull it off but failed! please respond cheers paul Quote Link to post

SEAN3513 7 Posted August 4, 2008 Report Share Posted August 4, 2008 or stick the end of your rod in some boiling water and then pull with pliers..........if you don't want to use a flame. cheers sean p.s.......or you could use a hairdrier.......and try twisting the end eye before pulling.
