i just got more land to shoot but as the season is nearly over here,i was thinking trying to get a section 42 but can it be got at end for season and if so how long will it take to get it.cheers sounder

Sounder it will be fairy difficult to get a section 42 at this time of year, plus you have to have a lot of evidence built up that the deer are causing major damage to livestock or crops, So i'd say pretty damn hard......your talking two weeks for a ranger to come and survey the damage, then a week to issue the section. but you have to have a valid reason for dispatch, out of season.......

Haven't been able to get online for a while so only saw your post now. If there is damage being done you should be able to get a section 42 now without too much hassle. One of the farms I stalk on has had a few stags hitting it over month of Feb. Farmer put in for section42 and it was issued within 5 working days. Issued on 27th Feb and valid till end of April. Got a big stag on the ground a few days after it was issued so farmer pretty happy. Think you can download blank section 42's off the wildlife service site.
