I’ve also been in some 3rd world countries, but 3rd world shit holes always have been and always will be 3rd world shitholes , whereas the UK is/was a 1st world country but it’s not the same country now as the one I left in the 70’s. Ive been back over 20 years and I can see the degradation getting worse every year. The demographics have changed drastically, crime has soared, the general “feel” of the place doesn’t seem right, the optics appear as if the illegal immigrants have more rights and are better treated than the indigenous people, this may or may not be true, but it looks and feels like it. My missus said yesterday that she wished we had never come home. She’s never said this before so I asked her why . She’s said she avoids certain shops, big shops like in the Metro Centre, where she won’t use the changing rooms as they still insist that men who pretend to be women can use the women’s changing rooms. She won’t go into town because of the beggars and groups of foreigners on almost every corner. This woman is no shrinking violet, she worked in the Middle East for well over 20 years and is a very regular international traveler. So it needs a sense of proportion; we arent a 3rd world country, but if we don’t arrest the decline, we are headed to being one ……. Cheers. Shocking goings on you’d wonder was it a planned attack or was it an argument that flew out of control as I see one of the lads arrested has been released.
