WILF 51,676
I tried to struggle through some match of the day the other night, do you know what….the Premier league is the biggest pile of boring wank ever ! Luckily, this new format of the champions league is saving top flight football for me….i can watch it, but I wouldn’t give you tuppence for a premier league game anymore. It’s shite, boring American shite….period !

I got to agree.. it's over coached now, as Des Walker said on the overlap, "when a keeper is touching the ball more than a centre midfielder, there is something wrong"... Centre forwards only touch the ball 10 or 20 times a game now, it's like watching paint dry at times... the cut and thrust has all but gone, I watched a few old UTD games a while back (remebering better times lol).. f**k me the challenges look X rated now, and that was normal run of the mill tackles, you basically can't tackle anymore... it's pretty shit 3

I've given up even trying to understand refs' decisions. Your point about centre forwards barely touching the ball is true. The lad Hojlund we had, would go whole games never seeing the ball. And when he did he was so 'cold', his first touch was usually clumsy. I think there was a player in there, but when he was running here and there, never touching the ball for most of the game , no wonder his goal return was embarrassing. Ratcliffe reckons Amorim has got 3 years to prove himself. I've nothing against him, but I don't think he has the mental toughness to last that long. He cuts a sad, unhappy figure on that touchline. This adds to the agony of watching Man U these days. Sorry to have gone off thread chaps. Edited October 9 by jukel123

eastcoast 4,715
England last night - Fair to assume Tuchel likes Anthony Gordon. Starting on the left and even moved him centre rather than taking him off to get a look at Rashford. Pointless crying over spilt milk but I still believe that if Southgate had used him properly at the Euros he may have gone out with more of a bang than a whimper. Over the moon for Eliot Anderson getting a run of games. Once in blue moon a club like Newcastle produce one of our own and see him progress to senior England level, fingers crossed. Still stings to see him playing league games for another club though. Supporting the Germans tonight, howay big Nick!

Unbelievable Richard Holden the shadow transport secretary absolutely nails it here I've been pondering this decision too. Are they saying the police could not cope? What's the worst that could happen? A brick through a coach window? Some disturbances at the game? Some anti semitic banners? Big deal! If the decision is to placate the Muslim population of Birmingham then that in itself is totally out of order. The Maccabi fans understand the risks of playing away with hostile fans abusing them. That's part of the attraction for them. They are young men ready to ruck. They are not exactly angels themselves as their past actions show. Let them come.

I would say it’s the latter mate the idea that Britain’s second city can’t manage a relatively small travelling support from a small team is baffling so it has to be the second one what’s even more sinister is the mp from Birmingham who led the charge to enforce the ban and even raised the issue of abandonment who the f**k are these people ? ayoub khan that’s who

No French teams because of those invading Normans. No Italian teams because of the f***ing Romans, and definitely no Nordic teams because of those God damn murderous vikings. I've got a new slogan: 'No room for racism in football.' You never know it might catch on.

From what I have read we do not have a buy back clause. We were not in a strong position to negotiate, it was either sell Anderson and Minteh for pure profit, or one of our more valuable starting 11, or risk a points deduction "fine". Everyone was aware of that. In hindsight we would have been better off keeping those two talented young lads who wanted to play for the club and sell the Swedish lanky streak of shite. But who knew? On a positive note I think out worked well in a way. If Minteh had stayed he no doubt would have been 1st choice on the right and Murphy would possibly not had the career defining season that he did. Anderson would not have started as many games as he did at Forest and may not progressed in the way that he has. I'm sure he'll be back one day, but hopefully more like the way Peter Beardsley did than Andy Carroll
eastcoast 4,715
As an English football fan it is good to see a newly promoted to the EPL club doing well. But why the feck did it have to be Sunderland? I've turned my phone off. 1
