My mum's bday today, so we went for a yomp as a treat! Lol She's 72, this is a tough walk but some of the best scenery anywhere Imo... she loved it, she's fitter than most 40 year olds I reckon,

Me and my son climbed Scafell last year when I was 73. I was a bit worried whether I could a) get up and b) keep up.  I reached the top and there was a married couple who were 86 and 84! The woma

I like that mate, not heard it before! This walk today would be packed in the summer no doubt, perfect on a day like today, bright and cold with a nice rough sea as the tide was coming in...

Happy birthday to your mam, good on her, the scenery looks fantastic

Thanks mate..

It's stunning, North Devon coastline, the waterfall is Spekes Mill, the walk is from a place called Hartland Quay if any lads are down this way any time.. that while coastline is outstanding, but from here down to Bude is pretty spectacular imo

Nowt wrong with being in your 70’s !!!!

Your mums doing the right thing; getting out and keeping busy…….works for me !

Cheers.

100% agree mate, not sat moaning like some of her old friends...out all the time at something, she's always bouncing about at something mate...my Mrs reckons I'm the same, can't sit still, I just hope I'm still fit enough when I'm her age...

Not at all mate !
I know plenty of over 70’s who have just about given up when there’s no need for it.
I’ve got the dogs and two big allotments with loads of poultry, I walk half a mile there and half a mile back twice a day and still get in a couple of nights lamping and a couple of days daywalking .

A walk across the field, just stop and breathe in some fresh air and take in the scenery is far better than watching daytime tv !

Cheers.
