Were you worried about it mate, and maybe misheard her ?

Shes a nurse, not an oncologist, she shouldn’t be making diagnosis, call your GP and tell them you’re worried.

I know it’s hard not to, but try not to fret about it until you get a definitive diagnosis.

All the best.

Cheers.

when i asked what does she think the problem is, her exact reply was, she was leaning towards cancer, i myself dont think it is, ive had trouble with this for a while now, it doesnt give me any pain, its just inconvenient, in day to day life, but i made it clear she was out of order , she isnt qualified im sure to tell me that, she even asked me which hospital removed my nail, i told her, no hospital i lost it myself in an accident

I’m no expert in this Keith but it may be over granulation or hypergranulation which is just your body healing from the lost nail. I wouldn’t think it’s cancer mate so try not to worry

Thanks for that mate, and it is exactly what I have at the moment, a raised tissue mass where the nail should be, it's not sore , and it's not keeping me woke or anything, just sore if I knock.it , thanks mate

Right Keith. I don’t wish to cause a stir. Had an appointment, booked weeks ago for an 8.55am with the nurse at my local practice.  On time, as usual, and waited for 55 mins and 2 requests to be seen. Lost the plot a little bit when told it had been a booked telephone appointment. Now then. My immediate problem is that both my big toe nails are falling out and it is not very comfortable. There I was with a nurse who actually said to make a telephone appointment to have it seen to. I was there for fck sake, in discomfort. Not one to complain I left but feeling a little let down. Jok.
