I was stopped by the police near Coniston once and they asked what I had in my old gas mask bag. I think they were expecting me to admit to having a couple of rabbits or some purse nets as I had my 3/4 collie with me. They looked surprised when I replied, "A tin of oil pastels and a sketchbook."
