To be fair , a lot of what I’ve been reading is jealousy on behalf of those who have cashed in over lockdown , there’s been sone relatively pain free money to be made breeding frenchies , bullies , cockers etc . 
 

if the pups are healthy and go to good homes , what’s the problem that they are pulling in the cash , fools and their money imho

Cropping ears is nothing new but it was never done for looks ,it was done for same reason a  game cock gets dubbed,

Staff bulls , American pits and all types of fighting dogs was cropped.

A lot of these dogs are being taken to back street cowboys who just clip ears with pair of scissors and it's fcuking wrong ,

If you dock a pup you do it as early as possible not take 8 week old pup to get ears clipped 

Poor buggers must be in some pain

I remember drinking in a pub called The Boathouse, in Lemington, right on the river bank, over fifty years ago, and lads cropping bull dogs ears on the bar table !

Dogs ear on a beer mat, swift slice with a Stanley knife, a coating of flour, and that was that.

This was done in the pub when it was open, people sitting drinking, playing dominoes, no one batted an eyelid, it was like being in some dystopian, Dickens novel. 

Game fowl in the yard, trotters in the stables, lurcher shows in the car park, pair of rabbits, trout or maybe pheasants on the domino card.

God knows what would be made of it today........we'd probably all be jailed !!
