It is correct and something I have been posting on here for some time. The Act will also include enhanced stop and search powers and deprivation orders banning offenders from keeping dogs. 

The SNP promised the ‘Greens’ they would look at hunting based on their coalition agreement which is actually all about Sturgeons independence dream. Sadly, the fieldsports community in Scotland have done very little to rebut this, presumably hoping it will go away. Well it hasn’t. The whole thing is flawed but it’s been allowed to get to this stage which is now probably too late. Sad.

everybody wants to keep letting their dogs, chase rabbits, prisons full to capacity already, couldnt possibly jail everyone,total madness and unworkable bill, how much is it going to cost to police it,worlds gone nuts.

if you aint got the dollar to pay the fines, they cant get it out of you, so next move is prison, cant see that happening,  using scare tactics to intimidate ordinary law abiding citizens.probably try and jail a few folk at firs, to try and prove their power egos.

So what about those who clear rabbits for pest control and earn a living from it and a lurcher is a tool of the trade ,

They will pass it and say it's ok to shoot them like they did with the fox and hare .

If Scotland passes it England and Wales will follow in time .

Once you in court the magistrates must abide by the law and sentence you accordingly and if it's a fine and you don't pay your going jail if they full or not .

I don't think this is about jo public walking his dog and it chases a bunny but those that go lamping ,ferreting ,it's another way of banning all field sports with running dogs .

SNP ffs what shower of shite, I can't run a dog on a rabbit or hare but can fly a hawk on them, its a class war,but Nicola's main agenda is to help the transgenders get what they fcuking want, the place has gone to shit, this agenda will also harm the handling of gundogs

The field sports community in Scotland have however fought hard to see if this includes spaniels and other gun dogs used for rough shooting …….

only a matter of time until they are next and suddenly the likes of BASC are regretting getting into bed with defra and the lacs against lads who exercise hares .

Personally,...I feel that if there is ever a ban on rabbit hunting/control,.... it will cause a lot of problems , not only to Farmers and Growers, but also for Land Managers , Railway embankments, Motorway sidings, historic sites, etc, etc....

Facts are,..the damage that rabbits can do in such vulnerable areas,.. is quite extensive,...

Times have changed, and we can no longer rely on noxious Gasses to erradicate the coney, so a more traditional option has to be brought into play..

One such option is to use Ferrets,...and in many cases, we will require dogs to assist in marking occupied warrens, and obviously to catch the occupants.

Shooting and trapping is another option,...but, considering the financial cost to agriculture in the UK, by dint of rabbit's grazing on crops and also  digging and undermining ancient monuments,..we will always need  some form of rabbit control...

This foolishness in Scotland is plainly political,..and as such,...it will be difficult, if not impossible,... to police effectively...

Technically you could just use a dog for marking and tie it up. Try explaining the workings of a marking dog to old bill though

Also bet the poor old fox hounds are sweating now. Most of them will be toast  wheres you bloody animal welfare there

they will have a job implementing it in most parts of England, no ones seen a dog chase a rabbit for fxxking years.
