I had to cross snow with just a thin birch tree line between us. I got to about 170yds before they busted me and moved off. It was a tall order but I loved every second of it. Had I took my sticks I may of been tempted for a shot. Anyway I decided to retire and wait for dark sat under a large oak. As it got dark along comes Charlie. They are always about a couple weeks before lambing. Im glad you've got a trusted friend.
