Tough old Leghorn

Recommended Posts

Let my Parson Russell out into a fenced area next to my free range chickens. One of the Leghorn hens decided to fly over the fence when I went inside and the terrier which usually pays no noticed grabbed her. By the time I got out, gave the dog a hiding, the hen was flat down, half it's feathers gone and bleeding. I grabbed the axe but then thought I'll give her a chance as she's my best hen. Next day up on her feet and has got better each day. I was going to change breeds after these go but the Leghorns are tough as nails with heat, cold and even terrier attacks, I think I'll stick with these birds.?

Shoot the terrier it couldn’t even kill a chicken.

Lol, I was thinking of shooting him because he couldn't kill it. Seriously, the whippet and the terrier pup bashed him up for it, I think because they saw me slap him, lol.

I couldn't shoot Ted the Turd, he keeps the chooks safe from rats, cats and foxes but the point is I was amazed how tough the Leghorns are because Ted has killed feral cats as big as himself. You terrier killers can fck off ?.
