Went to a mineral and rock show, miners from Canada and the states mainly but a few international, got chatting to an old guy in his 80's who lived way up north as a kid and tried prospecting, lived on shot game and fish and found a nugget of gold the size of a thimble while panning a stream,I love stories like that.

Also met an old first nations bloke exhibiting arrow heads finds.

I can tell you a quarry in the UK you can find perfect specimens,I found one myself as a kid,Quarrington quarry in county durham, lots of pristine specimens in the marl, theres a market near there or there was, that had a stall holder used to sell fossils from the quarry.

I watched a thing about them tar pits a whilst back, crazy place

I never really got the whole dinosaur an extinct animal fascination tbh there’s more than enough alive to keep us fascinated haha but the few times iv saw that big dude from the boneyard on a podcast iv been glued to. Puzzling how he found so many remains an then add in all the shenanigans with the museums an stuff it’s a mad case, would love to go have a proper look about, even if it did all jist look like ole bones to me haha
