Just buried my best mate

Just been in the garden and laid Celt to rest. 15 and half and been my best mate for all that time.

Was surprising what this lad could do, ferreting, lamping, work with the gun etc etc.

A desperation mating with my old digging terrier and my 3/4 collie grey as the dog I wanted to cover her couldn't do it but my terrier could! I had the mother scanned and if she had been coming with a belly full I would probably have aborted them but the vet said 3 or 4 so I let the birth happen.

We've had some adventures, plenty of which I couldn't post on here.

Celt was the last one still going but his back end has been going recently so I dug the hole a week or two back. 

Anyone who knows me knows the bond that me and him had, you don't get many dogs like that in a lifetime.

Rest in peace Celt. My bestest mate.

Hope ur ok mate, never nice when they get to that age but the memories live on, a dog is just apart of ur life but for a dog you are it’s whole life, all the best and rest in peace Celt ?

Good man dy , there’s nothing like regrets and I do look back and think about a mating I should have done when everyone else was telling me different . I know now that not one of the resultants were worth a wank to what I should have done . 

nice to read that you followed that through and got what you wanted . Fair play .

There’s nothing like a bond between a man and a special dog who just gets you , I’ve had that twice in my life . Both with lurchers who had their attributes stacked against them . But had hearts like lions .
