Anybody know what he  currently charges for a pup? I've been following pup prices on the internet and they have come down big-time since the pandemic prices. The problem is most of the pups are from pet blood rather than proven working blood.

dave charges £500 for a pup, just got one from him a few months ago, had 3 from him over the years, still got the old 7th generation dog coming up to 11yrs now, ran him on allsorts of terrain, never ever knocked and game as they come, the 11th generation pup is maturing nicelly at 10 mths, holding him back till hes fully built, keen as mustard, get on well with these dogs and do all i need these days, easy to live with and loyal as hell, dave a real genuine bloke who went out  of his way to help me  get the dogs from him, a nice man, just my opinion, speak of folk as i find them.

What height and weight do they make on average Grompz?

usually level out at about 27tts, and weigh round about the 25 kilo mark when fully matured, fastbehind things, but not over fast, make good lamping dogs.

That's a fair  bit smaller than a first cross. ?

yeah there deerx greyhound both sides, which dave told me keeps the height down.

Yeah,..Ive found that with many types of genuine Ist Cross Hybrids,..as the litters progress, the end product often decreases in size? As a one -time breeder and worker of home-bred lorchers, I personally felt that the progeny from the initial first cross was the start of a breeding programe. The exciting part for me was where to go next to make an improvement...

This fine tuning , testing and working in the hunting field , frequently dictates where to go .?
