How bad is is coccidiosis would you feed them to your dogs or ferrets as I have being letting old mate who I go out with taking them and he has bing them to his dogs and ferrets.  I also appreciate all the feed back.

Would I bollocks if it's a parasite why would you feed your dogs an ferrets that shit. If i wouldnt put it on the plate and eat it then my dogs an ferrets wouldn't too. And a definitely wouldn't pass it onto a pal incase owt happened to there animals. No repercussions then

Found this on the net ,might be useful.

Coccidiosis is a common and worldwide sporozoan disease of rabbits caused by the protozoan parasite Eimeria ep. Up to 25 species of coccidian have been observed in rabbits, with two main forms seen, hepatic and intestinal.

its only the liver the rest will be ok for even humans to eat

I have been told that by others, it’s the same with mixi if the rabbit doesn’t look good the foxes get a free meal, where I hunt there’s plenty of rabbits to go at so I can be a bit fussy, I’d like to know what causes it as I’ve experienced it in little clusters then move to another patch and it’s fine.

From my understanding if anything effects the liver it will effect the meat as the liver cleanse out the goodness of the rest of the rabbit. If the liver is not looking good then it is not in my opinion good for human consumption.
