Our future Energy

Recommended Posts

With all that's happened with our energy prices over the last year or so, Is sticking to the tried and tested old fuels the way forward in the long term?. I have been told by people that test are currently being carried out that consist of over sleeving our existing gas pipe network so that hydrogen can be pumped down them, This way there is less infrastructure changes needed during the transition, i have also been told that electric cars are a none starter and not to buy one as hydrogen fuelled cars will soon be on the market.

Does that mean those ones ~ when they crash and burn, trapping you inside ~ will go off like a bomb?

Anything sold by the government will cost you, be it hydrogen leccy gas etc get an aga and solar and if you have room a little turbine for the night time when your panels aren’t generating, it’s also not hard to make your own gas with a tank of shit and a lorry inner tube every new house could be built off grid if they really cared ?

I remember reading a book by John Seymore years ago, called the guide to self sufficiency, He stated that a minimum of 8 acres were needed including a wooded area. he built his house so his cooker and heating was fed from outside, The reality is how many people can afford to go down this route as much as most would love to.

What ever happened to that motor fuel made from rapeseed oil? I don't really follow this shit, because I haven't got a motor. I genuinely have no concept of all this stuff.

But, I rem, ember a photo of a big, green tank or two, at the side of a road, beside a field? What happened there?

All are furnaces at work are gearing up for hydrogen but they can also run on gas.

Think hydrogen is going to be the future

I think Hydrogen ticks a lot of boxes, either in the form of internal combustion or fuel cell. I don't think battery power will ever go away, but I don't think it will be the only way forward.

With any of the above we still need a fundamental energy source. And imo that will be nuclear. Initially small modular fission reactors and eventually fusion.

But oil and gas isn't going anywhere in a hurry, no matter how many Van Goghs get souped.
