I seen on Facebook that someone’s cut the fence and some wolves have escaped they are now trying to capture the outstanding escapees , I wonder how long before some bright spark try’s it here like they done with the mink years ago ?

Mate 25 lynx’s were set free in Norfolk a few years back and about 5 recaptured news coverage, ???

i think offhand that they are the worst predator out there.a fecking timber wolf is one big, clever top predator.would not want to be in the situation where you were lost up in some forest in canada.went to canada a few times when i was a kid and my uncles mate who was a big old farmer ie tuff as f**k was terrified of wolves.not bothered by bears ffs.

There are plenty of wolves here where we hunt, as well as black and grizzly bear, and cougar. I would certainly agree with what u say on them been a clever, top level predator, but if I had to bet I would say the farmer would be scared of them from a damage ($) perspective, rather than personal injury. Bears, moose, cougar and even coyote are a far bigger risk than wolves. The wolves (with the exception of the habituated / fed ones in the parks) seem to have an inbred fear of humans and if u are lucky enough to catch  a glimpse of one they are gone as soon as they spot or wind you. Where I am I think most people would rank grizzly's as the biggest threat as they are so unpredictable, and have lost the fear of humans (they banned hunting them here about 10 years ago). After grizzly's take your pick from cougar, blackbear, coyote and moose, but wolf would be less dangerous than any of those in my opinion.

Iv watched loads a things on tele about over there but it seems common for them on tele to say the black bears are worse than the brown bears, both are serious animals an only bear I’d like to meet in the woods in a koala bear ??

Black bears you’re supposed to fight back, brown bears it’s best to play dead
