Last season we grew over 100 strains plants and they  all got Blight and died , this year we grew three types totaling 48 plants of Blight resistant, strains . 5 of these plants produced Jet Black fruit and though an unusual color taste very nice

I grew those last year Micky, the seed packet i had was called Black Russian.

I grew  Black Russian  3 years ago and they were one of the best that i have ever eaten but a very poor cropper which i think that many outdoor Heritage Toms are. The ones i grew this year were three  different  strains of Red  Blight  resistant  types and the black ones were among them .

Never grew the black variety, but did grow the chocolate variety one year.

Contrary to the name, they don't taste of chocolate, they just have chocolate brown skins.

I've had a great crop this year from plants I was given off a lad on the Allotments.

Various types, all doing well;

Good afternoon Charts. Nice looking crop. I’m doing a heck of a lot of both red and green tomato chutney. It’s flying out the door. Nice little touch as well is adding 3/4 chillis. Lovely. Jok.
