bitches we kept were only good for fox,nice small types,the dogs were headbangers...put  a Lakeland dog over the one bitch...I had a bitch pup from it...killed a 4 yr old black bitch at 11 months oldit went to a keeper down Dartmoor way around 2011/2012....I know a few lads who still keep the borders...but the money has taken over the work ethic....

First proper working terrier I had was a border lakey bitch called tonic looked just like a border that bitch found me a lot of foxes and started a lot of lads around me to get into the terriers about 1990 there was lots of borders and crosses with other terriers I remember nearly to the day 2 black terriers came up direct from bn to an older lad I dug with sometimes and that was that they took over...... where they better than the border lakey before..... I didn’t think so ....

Border x lakey on the left, bred from the same border blood as the borders I have now. Great finding bitch and a good size so there's not much shifts her. She gives old Charlie a hard time.

Steady season with the borders, my border bitch has came back well after her litter and I've getting the dog entered. 2 pups I've kept back from the litter, Roy and Maggie the 3rd pup went back to the man I got the original 2 from. Ready for next season now.

Some nice borders there lads,how do ye find them entering I see a few slower to start but consistent when they did,nice to see them still been worked

Steady away, some take a bit longer to mature than others normally the dogs. But with these it's all about the breeding obviously you still get failures but less likely from a good proven line.
