Just got this stunning little bitch, nearly 12 months old, Deerhound x Bedie grey.

I used to go out with my dad's Lurchers when I was a kid but I'm a female in my 30's now and struggling to get back into the swing of things.

I'd love to have this girl knocking down bunnies but I just don't know where to start, I've barely seen a rabbit or and other quarry since I moved here.

Any of you experts in my area fancy giving me some advice/practical experience (hunting related only)

I'd personally ditch the collar for a start,and get a nice traditional leather one...smart looking bitch should be good for the edibles, brought on the right way,maybe someone could take you both out for some ferreting start her off,get here tuned in,some fur in her mouth...then take it from there

Good luck finding some bunnies and a place that isn't policed by a cretin of a gamekeeper. 

 The way things have gone locally with the police and lentil munchers too you'll probably get a load of grief just for walking the dog near fields.

As gnipper said there is very little local, it’s a 2 hour + drive for me in the season to get my lurchers some action

As said, nice looking type that. Before you head out with anyone I’d concentrate more on the training. Get recall spot on and do some retrieve training. Get the dog in with stock. Good luck with it. Keep us updated
