Cheap bipod spikes

Recommended Posts

Was cleaning the gun room and found this just now. Easy little mod for you guys wanting some spikes on your bipod feet for whatever reason. Just order some archery field points ( think I paid like $5 for a 10 pack) pop the roll pin out that holds the rubber foot on to the bipod leg and drill a small hole in it. Shove the screw in part of your field tip in the hole ( you make need to trim it down a little ) and put some five minute epoxy in and around the tip. Once dried just re attach to you bipod legs with the roll pin. Way cheaper then the custom made ones and pretty effective if you like that kinda thing.

That's a good idea..... but a minor issue.  .....it's ok if the ground is dry but here in the UK it is mostly wet,  the fields are home to either sheep or cows and the grass can be reasonably long.   As a result if your laying on the ground it is either laying water or soaking wet long grass with either sloppy cow or sheep muck.   If I use the biPod it is off of a vehicle. Either the bonnet (hood) or the roof.  This is to gain hight and be able to get a better view of the target and not lay in a load of crap.  The pointy legs would more than not skid all over the metalwork. Good idea though
