Johnston is not guilty of "eating a piece of cake at work". He's guilty of a flagrant  and contemptuous disregard for the rules which he instigated on the advice of senior medics.

According to the WHO 15 million people have died  because of Covid.

A key strategy to suppress Covid was to limit the ability of the virus to spread from person to person. Lockdowns were very successful in containing the virus  but they depended on individuals being responsible in considering the plight of the elderly and the immuono suppressed who had little resistance to the initial virus. Fortunately  the vast majority of citizens understood their responsibility towards others and sacrificed a great deal.

The people in Downing St were primarily fit and young and were safe from the worst effects of the virus. They couldn't give a f**k about spreading it to those less healthy and fortunate than themselves. Johnston set the tone and effectively put two fingers up to his fellow citizens, some of whom were very vulnerable to the effects of the virus. This attitude is in line with the tory attitude of " there's no such thing as society".

Johnston is a disgrace, a complete moral vacuum. Scum of the earth.  A good leader never asks those he or she leads to do anything they would not be prepared to do themselves. But a core defect of Johnston is that he  believes rules are for his inferiors not himself.

If Starmer has done the same as Johnston, both should be thrown out of the House of Commons.

This is looking like a clear win

Looks like conservatives have lost another seat.

They have lost both of them the red wall seat in Wakefield is an indication that other red wall seat's will go the same way in Northern working class town's.

Both Labour and Lim Dem winning candidates are calling for Boris to resign.............Now surely they won because Boris was in power and the people have such little faith in him? If that were the case I would be saying thanks Boris stay in power and one of our parties will be running this country very soon, not resign and put a "better" leader in that may turn it around and keep us as the opposition!!!! Christ they are all thick (no need to answer that).

It just shows you that voting can work, over turning a 24,000 majority isn’t some stroke of luck…..it’s people getting off their arse and doing something different.

Wasnt so long ago the Lib Dems were absolutely dead in the water, now they are demolishing 24,000 majorities.

Everyone in the country who says “what’s the point ?” Should take note.
