I've had small pups turn out the biggest once they get on solids. She sounds a determined type.

She's massive honest mate she definitely looks like a rottie pup in the face with markings. It's only till you pull back the excess skin off her face you see the terrier lol

I bred a Russell pup out of two 7kg parents and got an 12kg pup when grown. It was stronger than a bull terrier and psycho.

The dogs had old type English bull in them.

The father to my bitch was a strong dog big old parson. His head an jaw line looked like a small stafford built like a tank smooth coated he was. Great little grafter chap had plenty of photos to show me of him out working. Mainly of him ratting an mother she was a good little worker too.

I've never heard of something so daft in all my life ... You purposely stopping a pup suckling because you don't like how she's progressing ..

Since week one I've noted down the progress of the pups weight to makesure there all getting the right intake an progressing in putting weight on. This bitch is double the size of her siblings. Her siblings are very active interacting with one another like pups do at three weeks old playin with one another . All she's doing is sleeping a little movement by crawling to the bitch for milk. She's not using her legs like she should be.  So she's missing a feed an I've had her out moving about. Since doing this in the past few days she's picked up more active. But she's still alot bigger than her siblings. What I've done from week one is written down the weights , then taken away week ones weight from the second weeks weight which left me with the exact weight that they've put on in that week. Same with week two and week three.  The other four pups weights are averaging the same. A wouldn't of thought any different that you'd not heard of this before to be fair lol. That pup would of ended up with muscle an joint problems late on with not moving about getting up an walking . Growning physically but not actively. The other pups were moving about at 2 weeks of age. I've know pups with not being active but maturing properly , they've end up with the front legs growing quicker than there tendons which then ends up with them having bent front legs. That's because there tendons haven't been active enough happens in alot of lurchers. The vet told me this happens when the pup or pups  dont start to move about naturally.  Doing all the things that pups should be doing through the first stages of there life. If they don't become active that's when you'll have complications like that with the bent legs.

There will be more than enough milk for 3 pups... always move the big oned down so they bring the milk through in all the teats ?

Every litter is different,I've had terrier pups crawling out of the box looking for and sucking on  solids at 10/12 days old,you always get a slow growing pup same as a couple of fattys,

Bitch should be having a rest now, they what 3 weeks?milky Weetabix, rice pudding small bits of minced raw,let them eat, play, sleep, put the bitch in to empty and clean them and at night...they soon all catch up?

I've bred dogs for years Danny my parents breed staffords mate for show. I've jotted all there progress down like a say an there all fine the pups. A just did that for a few days to get her more active an she's bouncing round now so it worked. Mothers on puppy formula an tripe chicken an beef mix that a get from mc kennels an load of treats like hearts an liver. She looks fine plenty of milk in her. Just that this bitch pup would bully all the pups of the nipple. Shed work one nipple then move onto next. There's one pup that's lost abit of weight which I'm watching on. She's lost 54g in a week which I'm not too worried about at the moment I've been making sure she gets on the bitch first. You'll always get a pup that will get bullied off from other pups but I like to makesure that this doesn't happen. I've bred dogs for years though. We've had champion dogs at too in the stafford game. Black in black was one of them. He was a champion dog. Then I a  bitch her now who's looking promising out of a dog called bold bull black Jack owned by Dean cund well know judge in the stafford world.

I don't think you should take a pup away from feeding but I used to put the smaller ones on a good teat at times. I've never heard of a pup getting too much mothers milk. The pup might need more than the others.

It was more so her being lazy mate an that's with her constantly on the nipple greedy not letting the other pups get a look in. Lol  You normally a grek of the little an bullied off she was bullying them all off. She'd work her way down just pushing them off. It's strange because she was the last pup out but the biggest pup. The bitch was really struggling to part with her she was that big. Wife was sayin its going to be a vet job.  But I've helped bitches many times at home with my parents an seen my old man help them. A just waited for her contractions an her pushing an just gently with abit of force pushed at the top with two fingers holding the pups head an she came out fine mate ?. Some people on here always jump on with bad old comments rude remarks thinking there doctor doo little. Like a say she very lively now playin an interacting with her siblings. All pups are getting the intake of milk they need an weight fine other than that one but a will keep my eye on it.

It wasn't like I'd taken her off all day. Just brought her away from the dam for one feed to let the other pups get the intake an stop her being greedy an to move about an get active. I've not known a pup to be so lazy to be fair. Lol. She's a lovely looking pup but I'm thinking twice now about keeping her  back. Soon as you take her away from the Penn she starts moaning an crying other pups love to mooch about am play like pups should do mate.
