A lot of the Nomad's jukels have cropped ears....their job is to see off, and frequently kill, Wolves and stray dogs,..? 

I guess the owners feel that 'ears off' helps the dog in a rough and tumble scrap...

All I know is,. .these feckers would just as soon as bite ya, as they would the enemy,...and when travelling in remote villages, it was frequently, emotional...?

A cracking kang. The hybrids that are used in the tatra mountains for catching wolves certainly pay the price and you right, each and everyone would happily bite you and anybody else.
